About the Blue Rose Inn & Restaurant

The Blue Rose Inn & Restaurant is conveniently located right in the heart of downtown Cape May, right next to city hall at 653 Washington Street.  We are half a block from the Washington Street Mall, a picturesque three-block pedestrian concourse with fantastic shopping, dining and strolling, and just a few blocks from the ocean and pristine beaches.

At the Blue Rose, we are winning awards and garnering local prestige!  At the 4th Annual Cape May Chili and Chowder Challenge in February 2014, we won the trophy for Best Chili for our Ancho and Ale Chili, and we were one of only three restaurants to win an award. Our restaurant has been recognized multiple times, most recently in 2015, by OpenTable.com as a 2015 Diners' Choice winner!  Our restaurant is one of the highest ranked restaurants in Cape May on TripAdvisor.com -- as of this writing, our current ranking is #1 out of 125.  We say all of this to emphasize that you're in very good hands when you dine and stay with us in the nation's oldest seashore resort!

Pedestrians will be delighted with this highly walkable city and whatever your interest or taste may be, there's something for you in Cape May.  When you dine or stay at the Blue Rose, you'll be at the center of it all.  Catch a show with a local theatre troupe or browse an art exhibit.  Hit the arcade or play a round of mini-golf with friends.  Enjoy the sun and the waves on the finest shoreline the world-renowned Jersey coast has to offer.

Then, come back to a delightful gourmet dinner and all the comforts of home in a quaint Victorian setting.  Our experienced on-site chef, Michael Keating, has developed a delicious, exquisite menu of mouthwatering appetizers and flavorful main courses.Enjoy our unique menu in an eloquent, sophisticated atmosphere that is the perfect backdrop to enjoy a formal dinner to celebrate a special evening with a loved one or close friend.  We have two dining rooms, the larger of which may remind you of a state dining room on a luxury cruise liner.  We hope you appreciate the care we've taken with every detail, from the cobalt blue candle holders to the blue rose stained glass. Our kitchen is completely from scratch, and we make all of our dishes with fresh ingredients with love, every single day.  Drop by for a tour of our facilities, check out our menu online or pick one up when you stop by, and meet the magicians behind the menu.

The Blue Rose is family owned and run, and when you visit us, you're part of the family.  We have eight luxurious rooms, all with their own bathroom.  Each room has its own unique decor, antique furniture, color scheme, and theme.  We invite you to check out each one online and drop by if you're in the neighborhood for a walk through of the inn.  After an exciting day or evening on the town, what's better than a meal worthy of a food connoisseur, followed by a short trip upstairs to your own private sanctuary?

When you come to see us, we are at your service, and we promise to treat you just like we would our own.  When you stay at the inn, wake up refreshed and join us in the restaurant for a gourmet breakfast, all included with your stay.

In addition to all of the amenities that are always available at the inn and restaurant, we often have special events, and we love to partner with other local businesses who meet our high standards.  Join us for a spring spa retreat, a wine tasting paired with a special menu, a poetry reading or artistic performance on our veranda, and more!

We hope to hear from you, and we look forward to seeing you soon!
